A warm Highland welcome awaits you from the Fletcher family at Persabus Farm, Pottery Cafe and Islay Holidays. Our family run working farm boasts a secluded position on the stunning Isle of Islay. Visit us and enjoy panoramic views of the Paps of Jura and the Sound of Islay.

Islay Holiday Accommodation

Located just 4 minutes from Port Askaig, we offer a variety of Islay holiday accommodation; from B&B, to Self-Catering Cottages and Camping. All enjoy free Wifi throughout. The holiday cottages are an ideal base for families. Whilst our Islay B&B suites offer smaller parties the perfect surroundings.

Whisky Holidays

Persabus is the gateway to the north Islay distilleries. For whisky enthusiasts we are situated within walking distance of Ardnahoe Distillery, Bunnahabhain Distillery and Caol ila Disitllery. Buses run from close by to the south Islay distilleries of Ardbeg, Laphraoig and Lagavullin. Bowmore Distillery and Bruichladdich Distillery are also on the bus routes from Persabus. We are located close to the Jura ferry port for visitors wishing to visit Jura Distillery. Kilchoman Distillery is a taxi or car ride away.

Activity Holidays

Our farm is ideally located for bird watchers, wildlife enthusiasts and whisky visitors. Barnacle Geese, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Corncrakes and deer are just a few guests we have welcomed in the past. We also offer dog friendly accommodation for those travelling with pets.

Fishing Holidays

Trout fishing is available in the lochs close by, or sea fishing along Islay’s coastline.

Persabus Pottery

Open year round, we have our very own Pottery selling gifts and Island inspired pieces for you to buy as a keep sake of your visit to our beautiful Highland island. Choose from a wide selection of unique and vibrant ceramics for sale, all individually hand painted, glazed and fired on the premises. Watercolour prints, and cards are also available.

Across from the pottery is Charlotte Hannett’s jewellery workshop. You can buy from a selection of her ranges at the workshop or commission an original, bespoke piece. Charlotte also carries out jewellery repairs.

Feeling creative? Why not try your hand at pottery painting with our guided workshops – simply pop in and request to join in, booking is not required.

Ceramic Café

Within our Islay Pottery on the farm, we also have a Café, open year-round.  Pop in and enjoy our farm cooked, home baking, loose leaf teas, coffee and sandwiches.

Rosemary and Donald live onsite in the main farmhouse and are on hand to help with any questions you might have about your trip.
