Saturday June 11 – Join Author/illustrator Sarah McIntyre at Celtic House Bowmore at 11am for a fabulous Unicorn Party. Learn how to draw her mythical horse-based characters, Grumpycorn and Kevin the Roly-Poly Flying Pony! Then help her create a brand new Islay story character and invent a new Ileach short story on the spot! Fun for the whole family, followed by a chance to scoff custard creams and get your books signed and dedicated!

Wednesday June 15, Wednesday June 22 and Wednesday June 29 – Art Workshops at RSPB Loch Gruinart, 2pm to 4.30pm

Create your own Islay souvenir and learn some new skills by joining  local artist Dietmar Finger for an art workshop at Loch Gruinart nature reserve. Dietmar will guide you through your won sketch at a location around the reserve or in our Visitor Centre (depending on the weather). £30 per person with tuition, refreshments and all materials included. Thursday 30th of June Loch Gruinart Foraging Walk 4pm-6pm

Join the RSPB and The Botanist’s professional foragers for a walk around Loch Gruinart nature reserve, learning the ins and outs of wild foraging. On the walk you will learn how to identify different plants as we discuss their uses and flavours – in The Botanist Gin and more -, as well as talking about the importance of sustainable foraging. The walk will be followed by gin and oatcakes in our Visitor Centre.
