Enjoy pottery painting workshops at Persabus

Come along and have a go at painting your very own ceramic piece at Persabus Pottery. The Creative Studio has lots of paints, sponges, brushes, fun writers, and more to ensure you get the most from your painting experience. Rosemary will guide you through various techniques before capturing your creative style onto ceramics. Once finished, leave your pieces in the studio. They will be glazed and fired in the kilns and will be ready for collection a day or so later, or for an additional fee they can be posted on to you. (UK only) There is no need to book but please be aware we operate on a first come basis so during peak times or very wet days do try and arrive early to ensure your space. We charge a studio fee of £5 for each party or group (please note on busy days studio time may be limited to one hour)

Or why not pop along and pick up a pottery ‘takeaway’ kit?

If you would like some time to gather ideas and inspiration for your pottery piece then why not have a go at our ‘Pottery Takeaway Box’? Each box contains your chosen bisque shape, paint brushes, instructions and pots of paint. Explore the island to get some creative ideas. Then enjoy heading to the hills, or home, to enjoy some painting fun. Simply drop your box back into the pottery with your beautifully designed pieces and Rosemary will have them glazed and fired, ready for collection a day or so later. Alternatively, they can be posted for a small charge. What a fun way to take a piece of Islay home with you!

Great Little Cottage – All Amenities -Close to Port. We stayed here for just one night at the end of Feis Ile. Very comfy, very large and roomy cottage with parking, a garden, 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets and all you need to feel home from home. Clean as a whistle, a little bit dated in the decor stakes but if it’s charm you want, it has bags. Owners are very nice and friendly and see to all of your requirements. Highly recommended! Watch out for the midgies in the summer months, got chewed to pieces in June!
